Six Brunton Place Guest House

Six Brunton Place is in central Edinburgh. Brunton Place is part of London Road, opposite London Road Gardens, between Brunton Terrace and Hillside Crescent.

We are just a very short walk from the heart of the city, just a short walk from Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth, the new Scottish Parliament and the historic Royal Mile.
Take a walk up the Royal Mile, with its individual shops and cafes, to the majestic Edinburgh Castle, famous for staging the Edinburgh military tattoo.
There are a great many bars, restaurants and cafes just minutes away from Six Brunton Place, and we are close to the shopping areas of George Street and Princes Street.
On the doorstep is Arthur's Seat, in Holyrood Park, one of the 'seven hills of Edinburgh'. The surrounding extensive parklands and lochs offer many different walks for everyone. From the top of Arthur's Seat you have a magnificent panorama taking in Edinburgh Castle, the Old Town and the New Town.

On a good day, the Ochil Hills beyond the Forth Road Bridge and the Firth of Forth can be clearly seen.

Parking
If you are travelling by car, there is free parking all weekend and during the week 8:30am until 5:30 pm pay and display near by .The Omni center on Leith street has covered parking 7 days a week ,no booking required as does The St James Quarter ,10 mins walk back. Edinburgh is committed to be a Net Zero Carbon Emissions city by 2030 there is less parking space available as we move forward to our goal.There is an amazing cycle net work in place to encourage cycling round the city safely .

The nearest entrance to the Railway Station from Six Brunton Place is on Calton Road.

Edinburgh Airport
Edinburgh Airport is 9 miles outside the city centre.The Edinburgh Tram is a lovely and economical way to travel .You would get off right at the Mac Donald road stop and walk 8 mins up Brunswick street and into Hillside Crescent to the main road. .Adult £6 single and £8.50 return . A taxi costs in the region of £25 from the airport to Six Brunton Place. Alternatively you can take the Airlink bus, which terminates at Waverly Bridge, one mile from here, and then take a taxi or bus or walk from there.
